Roof Replacement in the Sandhills
How much does a roof replacement cost in Southern Pines and Moore County?
See our roof cost page for what a typical Moore County roof replacement involves. Roof size, pitch, material, old layers and any soft decking found during tear off move the price. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction confirms your exact price in a free written estimate after we inspect your roof, and our roof cost page explains what drives cost.
Is my roof problem a repair job or a full replacement?
Whether a Sandhills roof needs a repair or a full replacement comes down to how widespread the damage is and how much life the roof has left. A missing shingle, one flashing leak or a single damaged slope is usually a roof repair. Granule loss on every slope, curling across the roof, soft decking or repeat leaks in different rooms point to replacement. On Sandhills homes we inspect the roof, send you the photos and tell you when a repair is enough.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most full roof replacements by Red Wolf Roofing & Construction take one to two days. The first day covers tear-off, the decking check and new underlayment, and most homes are finished with new shingles or metal by the end of the second day. Large, steep or metal roofs can take longer, and Sandhills weather can move the date, so we treat the schedule as an estimate and keep you updated.
What happens step by step when you replace a roof?
A roof replacement on a Moore County home follows five steps. First comes a free drone inspection with photos, then a written estimate within 48 hours of inspection. Next is tear-off down to the deck, then decking repairs with new underlayment and flashing. Last comes your new shingles or metal. We clean up as we go, run a magnet sweep for nails and walk the finished roof with you. Every roof we install is backed by warranty coverage, and we walk you through it before work starts.
How should I get my home ready for roof replacement day?
Move cars out of the driveway the night before, take fragile items and pictures off upper floor walls, and keep kids and pets inside and away from the work zone. Tear-off is loud, so plan around it if you work from home. Our crew protects your shrubs and pine straw beds, hauls off the old roof and sweeps the yard for nails before leaving. See the full process on our roof replacement page.
Can you put new shingles over my old ones instead of tearing off?
We don't recommend it. Roofing over old shingles is an older technique, and on a standard roof replacement Red Wolf Roofing & Construction tears off down to the deck so we can inspect the decking and flashing. A layover can hide rot, adds weight and may affect the manufacturer warranty. In the Sandhills, moisture trapped under an old layer is a real risk with our humidity and pine debris.
What time of year should I replace my roof in the Sandhills?
Any season works, because Sandhills winters are mild enough for us to install year-round. Late summer and fall give the most reliable conditions for shingle seal strips to bond, while late winter usually means faster scheduling. When it turns cold, our crews work to the shingle maker's installation instructions, and we will not tear off a roof when rain is forecast. Read more in our roof replacement timing guide.
What happens if you find rotten decking after tear-off?
We stop, photograph it and show you before we replace anything. Soft or rotten plywood has to come out before new underlayment goes down, and your written estimate explains how decking is priced so there are no surprises. Pine debris and poor attic ventilation are common causes of deck rot in Moore County homes, and a roof replacement is the right moment to fix it.
How do I compare roof replacement estimates from different roofers?
Compare the written scope line by line, not just the total. Check whether each bid includes full tear-off, how rotten decking is priced, the underlayment, new flashing and drip edge, ventilation, the exact shingle or metal product, cleanup and both workmanship and manufacturer warranties. The NC Department of Insurance advises getting the scope in writing. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction will walk Moore County homeowners through our roof replacement estimate and any competing bid.
Do you check attic ventilation when you replace a roof?
Yes. Sandhills summers push attic temperatures well past outdoor highs, and a poorly vented attic bakes shingles from below and can affect parts of a manufacturer warranty. During the inspection we look at intake and exhaust, including ridge, box and soffit vents, and recommend balanced ventilation where it is lacking. Fixing it at reroof time costs far less than doing it later. Learn more about ridge vent failures and attic heat.
What is a drone roof inspection and how often should I have one?
A drone roof inspection lets Red Wolf Roofing & Construction see your whole roof without anyone walking on fragile shingles, and it is free with every estimate. You get close-up photos of every slope, valley and flashing detail, so you see what we see. Have your roof checked once a year and after any storm with strong wind or hail, the most common severe weather in Moore County. Book one through our roof repair page.
How long will a new roof last in Moore County?
Architectural asphalt shingles typically last 25 to 30 years, and metal generally lasts longer. Sandhills conditions decide where in that range a roof lands: intense summer heat, high humidity, algae and pine needles that hold moisture in valleys all shorten roof life here. Good attic ventilation, clear gutters and trimmed trees are the three things that stretch it. Here are the signs a shingle roof is near its end.
How do you coordinate a new roof with my solar installer?
We work out the schedule with your solar company ahead of time, so the new roof is finished first and the panel mounts follow. If your shingles are getting older, it usually makes sense to replace before the panels go up, because removing and resetting panels later adds cost. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction can inspect your Moore County roof before you sign a solar contract. See our roof replacement page for the process.

Shingles, Metal and Warranties
Do you install both shingle and metal roofs?
Yes. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction installs architectural asphalt shingles and residential metal roofing, and we are Owens Corning certified. For metal, we install standing seam and exposed fastener panels in steel and aluminum. Architectural shingles fit most Sandhills homes and most HOA rules, while metal roofing costs more up front and makes sense if you plan to stay in your home for decades.
What does Owens Corning certified mean for my roof?
It means Red Wolf Roofing & Construction holds Owens Corning certification as a roofing contractor. Manufacturer warranty options depend on the product and how the roof is installed, so before work starts we show you exactly which manufacturer warranty applies to your roof and explain how registration works. Homeowners across Moore County can ask to see that paperwork during their roof replacement estimate.
What warranty comes with a new roof from Red Wolf Roofing & Construction?
Every roof we install is backed by warranty coverage, and we walk you through it before work starts. That includes our workmanship warranty on the installation plus the manufacturer warranty on materials. Keep your paperwork, because most manufacturer warranties require registration, and a clean record helps if you sell your Southern Pines or Pinehurst home later. Ask about the details during your roof replacement estimate.
Does a lifetime shingle warranty cover everything for as long as I own the home?
No. A limited lifetime shingle warranty covers manufacturing defects under set conditions, and the strongest coverage usually lasts only for an early period before it becomes prorated. Wind and algae coverage run on their own terms, often require matching components and registration, and do not cover installation mistakes. That is why a contractor's workmanship warranty matters too. Sandhills homeowners get the actual warranty documents for their new roof before work starts.
Should I choose algae-resistant shingles in the Sandhills?
Yes. The black streaks on so many Moore County roofs are Gloeocapsa magma, a blue-green algae that feeds on limestone filler in shingles and thrives in our heat, humidity and pine shade. Algae-resistant shingles use copper-bearing granules to slow that growth. Every roof we install is backed by warranty coverage, and we walk you through it before work starts. Learn more about roof stains in Southern Pines.
What wind rating should my shingles have in Moore County?
Match the shingle to the design wind speed for your county. Table R301.2(4) of the 2018 North Carolina Residential Code, the edition in force, sets 115 mph for Moore and Lee counties, 120 mph for Hoke and Harnett, and 120 to 130 mph in Cumberland County depending on which side of I-95 you live on. Shingles are wind rated under ASTM D7158 or ASTM D3161, and we spec every roof replacement to your county's requirement.
Is metal or shingle roofing a better fit for a Sandhills home?
Both work well here. Architectural shingles cost less up front, suit nearly any house and are approved by most HOAs. Metal lasts longer, sheds pine needles more easily, reflects more summer heat and handles wind well, but it costs more and some Moore County HOAs and historic districts limit it to accents. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction installs both and will tell you plainly which fits your house, your HOA and how long you plan to stay. Compare on our metal roofing page.
Will a metal roof make my house loud in heavy rain?
Not usually on a finished house. What you hear depends on what sits under the metal: solid decking, underlayment and attic insulation all soften the sound, so a properly built residential metal roof sounds much like shingles from inside. The drumming people remember comes from bare panels on open framing, like many old Sandhills sheds and barns. Ask us how your roof would be layered, or read more on metal roofs and rain noise.
Can I still claim a federal energy tax credit for a new roof in 2026?
No. The IRS says the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit, known as 25C, ended for property placed in service after December 31, 2025, which means a roof installed this year does not qualify. Reflective shingles or metal can still keep a Sandhills attic cooler in summer, though insulation and ventilation matter just as much, and we do not promise lower power bills. Ask your tax professional about your own return. See our roof cost page for what drives price.
Sandhills Weather, Pines and Your Roof
Are pine needles and pine pollen bad for my roof?
Pine needles are the bigger problem. Packed needles in valleys, behind chimneys and in gutters hold moisture against the shingles, which leads to rot, algae and water backing up under the roof edge. The yellow longleaf pine pollen that coats Moore County from March through May is mostly a gutter and cosmetic issue. Clear valleys and gutters at least twice a year, and ask us about gutter cleaning and gutter guards. Read how tree cover affects roof wear.
What are the black streaks on my roof and are they harmful?
The streaks are almost always algae, not dirt or mold. Gloeocapsa magma spreads easily in the humid Sandhills and shows up first on north-facing and shaded slopes. It is mainly cosmetic, but it holds moisture and can shorten shingle life over time. Never pressure wash shingles, because it strips the protective granules. When it is time to replace, choose algae-resistant shingles and keep limbs trimmed. Learn what roof stains mean.
Does Sandhills heat and humidity shorten the life of a roof?
Yes. NOAA climate normals put the average July high in Carthage, the Moore County seat, at about 90 degrees. On a sunny summer day, a roof's surface can reach 150 degrees or more. That heat drives granule loss, cracking and curling, and a hot attic speeds it up from below, while humidity feeds algae. That is why Red Wolf Roofing & Construction checks ventilation on every estimate and recommends algae-resistant shingles or reflective metal for Sandhills homes. Read more about heat damage to asphalt shingles.
Do homes in Moore County get storm damage this far inland?
Sometimes, yes. Strong thunderstorm winds are the most common severe weather in Moore County, and tropical systems that move inland can still bring heavy rain and gusty wind. The National Weather Service recorded more than 9 inches of rain near Aberdeen during Hurricane Florence in 2018, and Tropical Storm Chantal brought 6 to 8 inches near Pinehurst in 2025. Falling pine limbs, lifted shingles and loose flashing are the repairs we see most afterward. Read our guide to roof care during hurricane season.
Should I trim the pine trees hanging over my roof?
Yes. Keep limbs trimmed back from the roofline and have a licensed tree service remove dead limbs before hurricane season starts in June. Falling pine limbs are one of the most common causes of roof punctures and gutter damage in the Sandhills, and overhanging branches also drop the needles that feed algae and rot. If you live in Seven Lakes North or South, the Seven Lakes Landowners Association requires Architectural Review Board approval for tree removal. Read how tree cover affects roof wear.
Storm Damage, Insurance Claims and North Carolina Law
General information only. Your local permit office, HOA and insurer decide what applies to your home and policy.
What should I do first if a storm damages my roof?
Take photos, make a list of the damage, cover openings with a tarp if it is safe to do so and keep the receipts, then call your insurance company to report the loss. The NC Department of Insurance advises calling your insurer first and asking for an adjuster before letting anyone else on the roof. Then call us, and we will document your Moore County roof by drone for the claim. More on our roof repair page.
Do you offer emergency roof repair or tarping?
Yes. Call (910) 420-0988, and we can respond to roof emergencies with tarping, photo documentation and temporary leak stops. These keep more water out until a permanent roof repair is done. Our phone team answers 24/7. Response times can vary. If water is coming in now, move your belongings out of the way and photograph the damage first.
What do you do if I have a homeowners insurance claim?
Red Wolf Roofing & Construction inspects the roof and documents the damage with photos. We can meet your insurance adjuster at the house if you ask. You choose your contractor, you stay in charge of your claim, and your insurance company makes the final coverage decision. We do not act as a public adjuster, and we never inflate an estimate to cover your deductible. See how it works on our roof repair page.
Will insurance pay for my new roof, and what deductible applies?
Whether homeowners insurance pays for a new roof in North Carolina depends on your policy and what caused the damage. Sudden wind or hail damage is usually covered, while wear, algae and old age are not. Many North Carolina policies carry a separate windstorm, hail or named storm deductible written as a percentage of your dwelling coverage, as the NC Department of Insurance explains. Moore County homeowners should check the declarations page or ask their agent before hurricane season. Our roof cost page explains what drives replacement price.
Will insurance replace my whole roof if new shingles will not match the old ones?
Not automatically. The NC Department of Insurance says a homeowners policy covers direct physical damage, so the insurer only has to replace the damaged area, even if the new shingles will not match and the originals are discontinued. Some policies or endorsements handle matching differently, so read yours and ask your agent. If a patch would leave your Sandhills home with a mismatched or failing roof, we will price a full roof replacement so you can decide.
Can a roofer waive or pay my insurance deductible in North Carolina?
No. Your deductible is your share of a covered claim. A contractor who hides it by inflating an invoice or estimate is giving your insurer false information, and North Carolina treats knowingly false claim statements, including invoices and damage estimates, as insurance fraud under G.S. 58-2-161. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction, based in Southern Pines, never offers to cover or hide deductibles. Learn more about us.
Can I cancel a roofing contract if my insurance claim is denied?
It depends on the contract and who does the work. North Carolina Session Law 2024-11 added a rule to the state's off-premises sales law: covered residential roof repair or replacement contracts carry a five business day cancellation period after an insurance claim denial, and the seller may not begin work or collect payment until it ends. The law lists exceptions, including work by licensed general contractors. Moore County homeowners can read the text or ask an attorney, and our roof repair page explains our inspections.
How do I spot a storm-chasing roofing scam?
Watch for roofers who knock on doors after a storm, push you to sign the same day, ask for full payment up front, promise a free roof or offer to cover your deductible. The NC Department of Insurance says to call your insurer first and verify any contractor's license and insurance. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction has a local office at 105 Bradford Village Ct in Southern Pines and sends a certificate of insurance anytime you ask. Learn more about us.
Will a new roof lower my homeowners insurance in North Carolina?
It can. Roof age is a major factor in North Carolina homeowners insurance eligibility and price. The NC Rate Bureau's 2027 Homeowners Policy Program, effective for policies on or after June 1, 2027, adds a roof surfacing factor based on roof age and material. Ask your agent for a quote with the new roof's install date, and keep your invoice and warranty as proof. Our roof cost page covers what goes into a Moore County replacement.
Approvals, HOAs and Historic Districts
General information only. Your local permit office, HOA and insurer decide what applies to your home and policy.
Do you pull the permits for my remodel or addition?
Yes. On kitchen, bath, addition and other general contracting projects, Red Wolf Roofing & Construction pulls and handles the permits as your NC licensed general contractor. We prepare the application, schedule each required inspection and meet the inspector on site, so you don't have to deal with the town or county office yourself. Homeowners across Moore County learn what their project needs during the estimate. Learn more about our home additions work.
Which office handles remodel and addition permits in Moore County?
It depends on where your home sits. Inside town limits, towns such as Southern Pines, Pinehurst and Aberdeen run their own planning and inspections offices. Homes in unincorporated Moore County go through Moore County Central Permitting and Inspections in Carthage at (910) 947-2221. On general contracting projects such as additions and remodels, we identify the right office and handle the application.
Does my roofer or remodeler need a North Carolina general contractor license?
Yes for any project of $40,000 or more. North Carolina requires a license from the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors at that amount. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction holds that license, License #107188, and you can read more on our about page. You can confirm any Sandhills contractor by searching the board's website by name or license number before you sign anything.
Do I need approval to replace a roof in the Pinehurst or Southern Pines historic districts?
Likely yes if your home is inside either local historic district. Exterior changes in the Village of Pinehurst Local Historic District go to the Historic Preservation Commission through a Certificate of Appropriateness; call Planning at (910) 295-8659 to confirm. Southern Pines has its own Historic District Commission at (910) 692-4003. We supply the material specs and color samples, and you submit the application. See our Pinehurst roofing page.
Do I need HOA approval for a new roof in Seven Lakes, Pinewild or another Sandhills community?
Almost always. The Seven Lakes Landowners Association requires Architectural Review Board approval for roof, gutter and fascia work and limits contractor hours to 8 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Saturday. Pinewild's ARB must approve any exterior change. Other communities have their own rules, so bring your HOA guidelines to the estimate. We supply the specs and color samples, and you submit them. See our Seven Lakes roofing page.
Do I need a building permit to replace the roof on my house in North Carolina?
Not always. Under G.S. 160D-1110(c), no permit is required for work costing $40,000 or less in a single-family residence when it is done to the current North Carolina State Building Code, unless an exception applies. The listed exceptions include adding new roofing, as opposed to replacing it, and adding, repairing or replacing load-bearing structures. Your Moore County or town permit office makes the final call. Learn more on our roof replacement page.
Do I need a permit for a kitchen, bathroom or addition remodel in Moore County?
Additions need a building permit and usually HOA review. Under G.S. 160D-1110(c), kitchen and bath work in a single-family home that falls within the statute's cost limit needs no building permit unless it involves load-bearing structure, added or redesigned plumbing, or new or changed electrical, heating or air conditioning. Larger jobs need one. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction tells you what your Moore County project needs during the estimate. Start with our kitchen remodeling page.
Where We Work
Which towns and counties are in your service area?
We serve 15 towns and 6 counties from our office in Southern Pines, with Moore County first. In Moore County that means Southern Pines, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Carthage, Seven Lakes, West End and Whispering Pines. We also work in Sanford in Lee County, Lillington in Harnett County, Raeford in Hoke County, Fayetteville, Fort Bragg and Hope Mills in Cumberland County, and Apex and Fuquay-Varina in Wake County. See our full service area.
Do you replace roofs in Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Raeford and near Fort Bragg?
Yes. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction replaces and repairs roofs and handles remodels across Cumberland and Hoke counties, including Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Raeford and the neighborhoods around Fort Bragg. East of I-95 in Cumberland County, the 2018 North Carolina Residential Code wind speed rises to 130 mph, so we spec shingles to match. If you are on PCS orders, we can send photos and your estimate by email. See our Fayetteville roofing page.
Do you work in Sanford, Lillington, Apex and Fuquay-Varina?
Yes. We cover Sanford and the rest of Lee County, Lillington and Harnett County, and Apex and Fuquay-Varina in southern Wake County for roof replacement, roof repair and remodels. These towns are a longer drive from our Southern Pines office, so call ahead and we will set an estimate visit at a time that works for you. See our Sanford roofing page for more.
Buying, Selling, Second Homes and Military Moves
Should I get a roof inspection before buying a home in Pinehurst or Southern Pines?
Yes, especially if the roof is older or the house sits under pines. A general home inspector often will not walk a steep or fragile roof and may miss soft decking, lifted shingles or failed flashing. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction offers a free pre-purchase drone inspection with close-up photos of every slope and a written repair or replacement estimate you can use before closing.
Will the roof pass a VA loan appraisal?
It can, if the roof is in sound condition. VA Minimum Property Requirements say the roof covering must prevent entrance of moisture and provide reasonable future utility, durability and economy of maintenance. There is no fixed number of years, so active leaks, missing shingles or a roof clearly near the end of its life can hold up a Fort Bragg area closing. We can inspect, give you a written report and complete required roof repairs before the appraiser returns.
I am PCSing to or from Fort Bragg. Can you handle my roof while I am out of state?
Yes. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction can inspect by drone, email you the photos and written estimate, take your approval by phone or e-signature and complete the work while you are away, with photo updates along the way. Fort Liberty officially became Fort Bragg again in February 2025, so you may see both names on older paperwork. See our Fayetteville roofing page.
Can you run a remodel at my Moore County home while I live elsewhere part of the year?
Yes. On remodels we document the work in CompanyCam, so every photo is stamped with the date, time and GPS location, and you get your own login to follow along. On roofing jobs we can use CompanyCam too if you ask, and we gladly do it for out-of-state owners. If your home is in an HOA or the Pinehurst historic district, we confirm which approvals you need before ordering material. See our kitchen remodeling page.
Can you fix roof and repair items from a buyer's inspection before closing?
Yes. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction handles repair requests for sellers, buyers and agents across Moore County, from roof repairs and flashing to termite and water damage. Send us the inspection report and we will return a written estimate, then schedule the work around your closing date. For sellers and investors with longer lists, our turnkey renovation service covers the whole job.
Should I replace my roof before selling?
Whether you should replace your roof before selling depends on its age and condition and on what a buyer's home inspection is likely to flag. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction can inspect your Moore County roof and give you a written estimate with a plain answer on whether a repair or a full replacement makes sense. Most replacements take one to two days. Financing options are available for qualified homeowners. Request an inspection.
Do you work with real estate investors on rental and flip properties?
Yes. Our turnkey renovation service for investors runs from roof replacement to finish work, with a fixed-price bid, milestone payments and lien waivers, and it is the only service we offer statewide. Our roofing and remodeling work stays within the towns and counties we serve around Moore County and central North Carolina. Repeat investors set their finish spec once and we build every project to it. We also handle buyer repair requests when a rental or flip goes under contract.
Kitchens, Baths, Additions and General Contracting
Can one company handle my roof and my remodel?
Yes. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction is both an Owens Corning certified roofer and a licensed North Carolina general contractor, so we can replace your roof and remodel your kitchen, bath or addition on one contract and one schedule. That matters most on additions, where the new roof has to tie into the old one. Sandhills homeowners get no handoffs between contractors and one phone number for everything. Learn about our general contracting work.
How long does a kitchen or bathroom remodel take?
Most kitchen and bathroom remodels by Red Wolf Roofing & Construction take 15 to 30 days once work begins. Layout changes, moving plumbing or gas, custom cabinets and inspections push toward the longer end. You can stay in your home during the work, and we tell you ahead of time which days will be loud or dusty. See how a kitchen remodel runs for homeowners across Moore County.
What affects the cost of a kitchen or bath remodel in Pinehurst and Southern Pines?
Every remodel is priced from what your home actually needs, so there is no set number. For kitchens, the big drivers are size, keeping or changing the layout, moving plumbing or gas, removing a wall, cabinet grade, countertops and appliances. For baths, it is room size, moving plumbing, the amount and type of tile, shower glass, the vanity and any rot under the floor, which older Sandhills homes sometimes hide. You get a free walkthrough and a line-item, fixed-price bid. See our bath remodeling page.
Can you build a home addition and tie the new roof into the old one?
Yes, and that is the reason to hire a builder who is also a roofer. The weak point of any addition is where the new roof meets the old one, and if the flashing is wrong, water finds a way in. We build bedrooms, primary suites, sunrooms, garages and second stories across Moore County, match your shingles or metal and do the roof tie-in ourselves. Every roof we install is backed by warranty coverage, and we walk you through it before work starts. See home additions.
Can you make a bathroom safer for aging in place?
Yes. We install grab bars, curbless or low-threshold showers, wider doorways, comfort-height toilets, non-slip flooring and brighter lighting, and we plan the room around who uses it. Moore County's share of residents 65 and older is well above the state average, so many Pinehurst and Southern Pines homeowners make these changes before they need them. Learn more about bath remodeling, and ask us to price a tub-to-shower conversion both ways.
What happens if you find hidden damage during a remodel?
We stop, photograph it, show you and talk through options, and no extra work happens until you approve it in writing. Your bid is a fixed price that only changes when you ask for a change or hidden damage is found. Termite damage, rotted subfloor and old wiring are common behind the walls of older Sandhills homes, so plan a small contingency in your budget. Learn more about our general contracting work.
About Us, Estimates, Payments and Financing
What sets Red Wolf Roofing & Construction apart from other Sandhills roofers?
Red Wolf Roofing & Construction is both an Owens Corning certified roofer and a licensed North Carolina general contractor, so one company handles your roof and the rest of your house. We start every roof with a free inspection and work from a 42-page written process standard built over 250+ remodels and over ten years of construction and remodeling. We are based in Southern Pines and are members of the Moore County Home Builders Association. Learn more about us.
How do I get a free estimate and how fast will I have it?
Every estimate is free, and roof estimates arrive in writing within 48 hours of inspection. For roofs, we schedule a free drone inspection and send you the photos. For kitchens, baths and additions, we walk the home with you and return a line-item, fixed-price bid. Homeowners anywhere in our service area can request an estimate online or call our Southern Pines office.
Do you offer financing for roofs?
Financing options are available for qualified homeowners. Ask about options during your estimate and we will explain how the process works. See our financing page for the basics.
How do payments work on a roof or remodel?
Red Wolf Roofing & Construction takes a deposit to get started, then milestone payments as the work moves along, and we provide lien waivers with payments so you are protected. The NC Department of Insurance advises homeowners not to pay a contractor in full up front, and we agree. Your contract spells out the payment schedule for your Sandhills project before work starts. Learn more about our general contracting process.
What paperwork will I get for my roof or remodel?
At the estimate, you receive the scope and price in writing. When you hire us, you sign an agreement that sets out the work and payment schedule. With each payment you receive a lien waiver, and at the end you receive your workmanship and manufacturer warranty information. Keep it all together, because it shows what you approved, what you paid and what is covered, and it gives your insurer or a future buyer a clean record of the work on your Sandhills home. See how our general contracting projects run.
How can I check that Red Wolf Roofing & Construction is licensed and insured?
Yes, we are both, and you can check. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction is an NC licensed Commercial and Residential General Contractor, License #107188, and you can look that number up with the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors. For insurance, ask us for a certificate showing our general liability and workers' compensation coverage, and we will send it before any crew arrives. We are also a Moore County Home Builders Association member. Learn more about us.
Who will I be working with on my project?
You work with our team based in Southern Pines, and the people running your project answer your calls and send photo updates during the work. We keep you posted at each stage of the job. Learn more about us.
What is your 42-page process standard?
It is our written playbook for how every job runs, from the first inspection to the final walkthrough. The standard covers estimates, scheduling, site protection, safety, communication, inspections, cleanup and closeout, so your project does not depend on one person remembering the steps. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction uses it on roofs and remodels across Moore County and will explain how it applies to your job. Learn more about us.
Is Red Wolf Roofing & Construction the same company as Red Wolf Roofing in Indiana?
No. Red Wolf Roofing & Construction is a separate NC company, an NC licensed Commercial and Residential General Contractor, License #107188. We serve Moore, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Lee and Wake counties. We are not connected to any Red Wolf roofing company in Indiana or other states. Our office is at 105 Bradford Village Ct, Southern Pines, NC 28387, and our phone number is (910) 420-0988. If a listing shows a different address or phone, it is not us. Learn more about us.
